Account Executive (Outside Sales)

Remote - Centerline, MI

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth by meeting with prospective and existing customers in person. This role involves frequent travel within an assigned territory, negotiating contracts, achieving sales targets and presenting solutions for high quality labeling and packaging by identifying customer needs.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment who consistently meets or exceeds revenue objectives through territory management and strong customer engagement.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through marketing, networking, referrals prospecting and cold calling.
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings to assess and deliver product solutions with potential and existing customers.
  • Present and demonstrate products and labeling solutions to customers.
  • Establish and develop long-term business relationships with current and prospective customers in your assigned territory.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes and sales contracts.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in Pipeliner.
  • Continuously learn about Whitlam products, industry trends, and competitor activity to effectively communicate our value proposition.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations, etc. to ensure customer satisfaction.  
  • Attend trade shows and industry events as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years outside sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and an insurable driving record.
  • Experience in selling high-quality labeling and packaging solutions a plus.
  • Proven track record of building new relationships and closing sales.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
